Day 2: Delhi – Agra: 205 kms/123 miles- 4 hours by car

In the morning after breakfast proceed for Delhi Tour. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate and parts of central Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Himayun Tomb, Qutub Minar. Later drive to Agra, reach Agra in the evening and check into your hotel. Stay overnight at Agra hotel. Agra is famous as being home to one of the seven wonder of the world-the Taj Mahal. Day 3: Agra – Jaipur: 249 kms/150 miles – 5 hours by car

In the morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Also visit Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Later in the day drive to Jaipur en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri (old deserted town of Mughal Dynasty). See the beautiful Jama Masjid / The Buland Darwaza, palace of Queen Jodha Bai, Birbal's (a Minister) Palace. Drive further to reach Jaipur in the evening. Check into your hotel and relax. Day 4: Jaipur

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and leave for a half-day sightseeing tour to the hilltop fortress at Amer. Ascend the imposing fort on a painted elephant. The Fort, originally built in the 16th century by Maharaja Man Singh encloses superb palaces and a beautiful temple in marble dedicated to the fearsome goddess Kali. In the afternoon, tour the old walled city of Jaipur. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa-Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. Visit the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory situated in the heart of the city. Built in the 1700's (A.D), it still looks futuristic. Nearby is the ornate Hawa Mahal (the palace of winds). The old City Palace & its museum display a rare fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture, and house a rare collection of paintings, Rajasthani armory and costumes. Evening visit to Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village resort (optional). Day 5: Jaipur – Udaipur

Day 6: Udaipur

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a full day sightseeing tour of New Delhi, with visits to the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Lotus Temple. You will also be driven past the Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Rajpath. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03 Delhi - Agra

After an early morning, breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Agra that is at a distance of 225 kms. Enroute there will be a stopover at Fatehpur Sikri, the historical town built by Akbar where you can see the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world; Jama Masjid and the tomb of famous Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti. Day 02- Tour around Delhi

Day by day itinerary details

Day 1: Delhi – Arrival, City Tour

On arrival at Delhi our representatives will receive you and escort you to the hotel for a check-in. After getting refreshed you will be taken for the Delhi city tour, which will include a trip to both the Old and the New Delhi. The important memorials, building s and the monuments will be visited, which are a trip to Raj Ghat, the memorial ground of Mahatma Gandhi, a visit to the Red Fort, the Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, the Lotus Temple and then a drive down the Rajpath passing the Presidential Residence, India Gate and the Diplomatic Enclave. After this city tour the guests will be taken back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi – Jaipur

From Delhi we leave for Jaipur after breakfast. On reaching the capital city of Rajasthan the guests will check in the hotel and get time to refresh and relax. From there after the lunch the city tour continues with a visit to the City Palace, where the Royal family of Jaipur still resides. A visit to the Birla Temple, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and the famous Janatar Mantar the astronomical observatory ends the tour of the city, after which the guests will return to the hotel for a dinner and a night stay.

Day 3: Jaipur City Tour

The day starts with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, after which the guests will be taken for the Pink City Tour. The trip starts with an elephant ride to the top of the Amber Fort, situated on a hill top. Rest of the free at leiaure or shopping. Evening excursion at Chokhi Dhani: the ethnic village resort. Day 4: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

The day starts with breakfast and the trip starts for Agra from Jaipur. On the way we visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned capital of the Mughal Empire. The place is famous for its colossal Buland Darwaza and the stunning blend of Islamic and Hindu architecture with influences from Jainism and Buddhism. Emperor Akbar shifted the capital to this place but due to lack of water supply the Mughal capital was moved back to Delhi. We arrive at Agra in the evening and check in the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Agra tour

Guests have the option of visiting the Taj Mahal early in the morning and see the sun rise and glimmer at the white marbled monument. Or start the day with a leisurely breakfast before embarking on the Agra sightseeing tour. The first stop is at the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Day 6: Agra – Jhansi – Khajuraho via Orcha

It’s an early morning start as the guests have to board a train from Agra to Jhansi. Our representatives will receive the guests at the Jhansi railway station and check in the hotel. From there the trip of Jhansi begins, the first stop will be at the Jhansi Fort where one can hear the legends and the stories about the great warrior queen and freedom fighter Rani Laxmibai. This land is filled with myths and bard songs about the bravery of the queen. The next stop for the night is at Khajuraho, but before that we visit Orchha, the medieval town, that has the serene and beautiful river Betwa flowing and visit the Jahangir Mahal, Orchha Fort, Ram Raja temple and Raj Mahal. On reaching Khajuraho we check the guests in a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Khajuraho – Varanasi

After the breakfast the half of the day is for sightseeing of Khajuraho, the beautiful medieval Hindu and Jain temples that has been built from sandstones without using of mortar. The stones are put together and are held by gravity. Thought often the temples are well-known for its erotic sculptures and the portrayal of “Kamasutra” the interpretations of these sculptures have varied over the years. There are 22 temples inside and none of them have the erotic sculptures hear the deities. Some of the deities are still worshipped like in the Matangeshwara temple, which has been going on for 1000 years. From Khajuraho the guests will board a flight for Varanasi. At the Varanasi airport our representatives will escort you to a hotel.

Day 8: Varansi Tour

This day will be unlike any other as the guests will have the priviledge to get a boat ride on the river Ganges at the dawn, before the sunrise and watch the miracle happen, but it will be a feeling that is hard to describe, as the morning chants at the Ganges ghat will make it even more special. The day starts with the breakfast and then the tour of Vranasi, visiting various temples and the famous ghats of the town. On this day itself we take the guests to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon, the place is 12 kms from Varansi. The guests can get a rickshaw ride or walk around the town on their own. The guests will then board a train from Varanasi to Delhi and it will be an overnight train journey.

Day 9: Delhi

The train arrives in the morning the guests will be taken back to the hotel and then they can relax or go around the city on their own. Pay a visit at the famous Chandni Chowk market and other markets of Delhi and enjoy t the life in the metro. Guests will have an overnight stay in the capital city.

Day 10: Delhi – Departure

Day 3: Delhi – Agra

After a leisurely breakfast at hotel we start for the next town Agra. The town that has become synonymous with Taj Mahal, the pristine white marbled tomb that is a remembrance of love that Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan had for his second wife Mumtaz Mahal. From there a visit to Agra Fort on the banks of River Yamuna is another architectural masterpiece of the Mughal era. The construction of Agra Fort was started in 1566 by Emperor Akbar and the red-sandstone fort has many legends and stories. From one side of the fort the Taj Mahal can be seen. After the visit one can engage in some shopping and leisurely roaming before returning to the hotel at Agra for a night stay.

Day 4: Agra – Jaipur

After the breakfast the trip continues for Jaipur, but before reaching the capital of Rajasthan we take an en-route to Fatehpur Sikri. Emperor Akbar shifted his capital to this place once but due to the problem of water supple he had to reinstate the capital back at Delhi. The place is also known as the “ghost town” and boasts the huge Buland Darwaza along with quite a few palaces like the Jodha Bai Palace and Birbal Palace. After reaching Jaipur the guests are taken to the hotel for a night stay at Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur

The day begins with a leisurely lunch then an elephant back ride to the top of the Amber Fort. The Fort is a majestic one with a backdrop of wooded hills, from there we move to the City Palace, the Hawa Mahal (the Palace of winds), it is a five storied building made in the shape of honeycomb, and from there the ladies could sneak to view the outside world. The Palace is at the centre of the Pink City. The visit to the Jantar Mantar, one of the best kept five observatories made by Sawai Jai Singh II is a perfect example of the blending of the past, present and future. In the evening the guests are free to explore the Jaipur market and engage in some authentic Rajasthani folk culture and cuisine and then retire to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Jaipur – Amritsar via Delhi

After having breakfast the guests will be taken to Delhi, from Delhi board a train for Amritsar. On reaching Amritsar they will be taken to the hotel in the town for night stay.

Day 7: Amritsar tour

The seventh day is an early morning start as the guests will be taken to the Golden Temple, the most sacred place for the Sikhs. However, people of Hindu belief too visit the temple and offer their prayer. The temple came to be known as Golden Temple after Maharaj Ranjit Singh turned the upper floors of the gurdwara with gold after securing the region of Punjab from outside attack. The trip continues to Jallianwala Bagh, the place where people attending a peaceful meeting for the freedom movement were shot mercilessly on April 13, 1919 under the order of British General Dyer. The evening ends with a visit to the Wagah Border and one can witness the Border Retreat Ceremony and it is a amazing sight to see the Pakistani land in a distance of few feet away. Day 8: Amritsar – Delhi

Day 3: Delhi – Agra

A drive to Agra after breakfast from Delhi begins; the journey along the beautiful countryside will be a constant reminder of the Mughal Empire that had flourished in this region. But before we reach Agra we pay a visit to Akbar’s tomb at Sikandra, the architecture in that place is a blend of Islam, Hinduism, Budhism and Jainism. Day 5: Jaipur City Tour.

The day starts with an early breakfast and then an elephant ride, which will take the guests to the top of the Amber Fort. The fort is a blend of Mughal and Rajansthani architecture, and though now abandoned one can still feel the power of that place. A brief visit to Jal Mahal and the ride on a camel back on the Aravalli hills along the lake. Post lunch the tour resumes with a visit to the City Palace, where the royal family now resides and is a t the heart of the Jaipur city, next visit is at the Hawa Mahal which is once again another architectural spectacle, a five storied building, built in the shape of honeycomb. Day 6: Jaipur – Ajmer – Pushkar

The last stop in the Golden Triangle Tour is at Pushkar from Jaipur. The day begins with a leisurely breakfast and the guests are then taken to Pushkar. Pushkar is a small holy city in the Ajmer district; on the arrival at Ajmer the guests are checked in a hotel and then take to the holy shrine the Dargah of Saint Harzrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti. The guests are also taken to the Pushkar Lake, the Brahma Temple and the Ghats, one will also have the chance to see the amazing camel fair at Pushkar. The guests then head back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 7: Delhi – Departure

The day begins with a breakfast at the hotel and then a drive back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi our representatives will take you to the railway station, airport or hotel for your onward journey.

Day 01: Delhi – Mathura - Vrindavan – Agra

Pick up from Delhi & drive to Mathura Vrindavan visit Krishna Janam Bhoomi , Hare Krishna Temple, Banke Bihari Temple. Evening drive to Agra & stay overnight.  

 

Day 02: Agra – Ayodhaya (465kms, 7hrs drive approx)

Morning visit Taj Mahal & Agra Fort. afternoon drive to Ayodhaya  upon arrival check into the hotel & stay overnight.

 

Day 03: Ayodhaya – Varanasi ( 200 Kms / 5 Hrs)

Day 04: Varanasi

Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Bangalore

After arriving at the Bangalore airport, Garhwal Himalayan expedition representative and will be transferred to the hotel. You will have to then relax and check in at the hotel.

Day 02: Bangalore - Srirangapatnam - Mysore

 

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to Srirangapatnam. This is a capital of the legendry Tipu Sultan. Then after seeing the Tipu's Mausoleum, see the beautiful summer palace. Later we will drive to Mysore. This city is very famous for sandalwood. Then we will arrive and check in to the hotel for some relaxation.

 

Day 03: Mysore

After breakfast In the morning, a sightseeing tour of Mysore should be enjoyed. The fabulous and elegant Mysore Palace should be visited. The palace is a great visual delight for the people as it has ornate entrance. The Maharaja’s Howdah is very well decorated. 24 carat gold was used for making this seat. The Royal Wedding halls has peacock designs and has stunning stained glass. The public hall is made from magnificent marble. It has gilded colonnades and is brightly painted. Later we go to the Chamundi Hills for seeing the Durga temple made during 12th century. It is very renowned for its solid gold statue of the Goddess as well as its 40m high Gopura. The Nandi temple must also be visited. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva for the magnificent 5 meter Siva’s bull or Nandi. A single piece of granite is used for carving it.

 

Day 04: Mysore - Sravanbelagola - Hassan

After breakfast In the morning we will drive to Hassan. Then we will visit Sravanbelagola which the ancient town. The place has a Jain statue which is huge and 17m. This is the highest monolithic statue in the whole world. Then we will check in the hotel and relax.

Day 05: Hassan

After breakfast In the morning, you will enjoy an excursion to Halebid and Belur. You can visit the 11th century Hindu temples. They have been the sculptural rivals. The exteriors and interiors of the temples are full of intricate sculptures of Hindu sages, animals, Hindu deities, birds etc. Scenes of the lives rulers, music and dance are depicted. Even the sensual activities of the dancing girls are depicted.

 

Day 06: Hassan - Bangalore

 

After  breakfast at hotel before the drive to Bangalore. Then we will check and arrive in the hotel for relaxation. In the afternoon, you can enjoy the tour of Bangalore by visiting the Vidhana Soudha. Later we will visit the fort.

 

Day 07: Bangalore Departure

In the morning, you will be assisted by Garhwal Himalayan expedition representative in your transfer to the airport for boarding the flight for your journey.

Day-By-Day Itinerary

 

Day 1: Delhi – Arrival

Garhwal Himalayan expedition representatives will receive you at the Delhi airport or railway station as per your mode of transport and take you to the hotel for check in. The first day the guests are free to go around in the city on their own or rest at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi City Tour

Morning breakfast at the hotel and then visit to the old Delhi monuments, like the Red Fort to Jama Masjid and the famous Chandni Chowk. From there to the Mahatma Gandhi;s memorial Raj Ghat. In the afternoon after lunch the trip continues through the New Delhi with a visit to Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb and a drive along the Rajpath passing by the Presidential Residence, India Gate and the Diplomatic Enclave. The city tour ends after taking the guests to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 3: Delhi – Agra Tour via Mathura Vrindavan

After breakfast,  morning drive to the town of Agra through the countryside is a wonderful experience. But before reaching Agra we willt ake you the holy Mathura and Vrindavan, the places are related to Lord Krishna’s birht and childhood, one can also offer prayers at the Lord Krishna temples there. After checking in at the hotel the trip continues with a visit to the Agra Fort built by Akbar on the banks of River Yamuna and from their one can have the first glimpse of the marvelous Taj Mahal. From there one goes to the white marble architectural wonder the Taj Mahal, the monument that redefines love for many all over the world. The guests can go around shopping at the Agra market and then move back to the hotel for dinner and their overnight stay.

Day 4: Agra – Jaipur en route Fatehpur Sikri

Morning departure after breakfast for Jaipur, but before reaching the Pink City, we take an en route to visit the famous Fatehpur Sikri, a place known as the “Ghost Town”. Mughal emperor Akbar shifted his capital there but due to water supply failure had to move back to Delhi. One can stand under the towering Buland Darwaza and get amazed by its architectural grandeur. On arrival to Jaipur one can engage in seeing the village life at the Chokhi Dhani a resort built in model Rajasthi village style. Then after dinner retire to hotel for the next morning.

Day 5: Jaipur City Tour

After breakfast visit Amber Fort and get an elephant ride to reach the top of the fort. In the afternoon the City Place visit is underway, where one can see the marvelous artifacts of the gone by eras. The trip continues with a visit to Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds) and Jantar Mantar (the astronomical observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh II). In the evening the guests can walk through the streets or hitch a rickshaw ride in the Jaipur city market, before retiring to the hotel for the night.

Day6: Jaipur – Mumbai – Goa

Around afternoon the guests are taken to the airport to board a flight to Mumbai. After reaching the Mumbai airport the guests will be onboard on a flight to Goa. The visitors will them be taken to a hotel at Goa and will be checked in hassle free. This place is fun filled but has a unique history to tell unlike another other places in India. Goa has been under the Portuguese rule for centuries and its culture is a true blend of the Eastern and the Western world. So relax and enjoy the sun-kissed beaches of Goa.

Day 7 –Goa

All these days, you will be able to travel around this beautiful beach city with white chapels, coconut forests, paddy fields and take a sip of the feni also engage in some adventure and water sports. Day 11: Goa – Mumbai

Around afternoon the guests will board the flight for Mumbai from Goa and it will take about one hour to reach the city of dreams. Guests will be taken to the hotel for the night and if they wish they can go around the commercial capital of India on their own.

Day 12: Mumbai tour

Guests are given the option of enjoying the watercraft ride from the Mumbai Harbour to the Elephanta Island to visit the ancient 8th century caves. After returning from seeing the huge cave that has the Hindu Trimurti a lunch will be in the offering. The tour of the city will then continue visiting the Gateway of India, the Towers of Silence, the marine Drive and the well known Dhobi Ghat of Mumbai. After having a delicious lunch at your hotels of Kerala, we will take you to visit the colonial buildings like Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing nets. If you wish you can also visit the Jew Town located at Mattancherry. Evening you can laze at the Marine Drive, the most romantic hang-out of Kochi city. Dinner and night stay at the Kochi Hotel.

02: Cochin-Kumarakom

On the second day of the Kerala Backwater Tour, leave your Kochi hotel and head towards Kumarakom; an enchanting backwater destination in Kerala>.
